Preface

It is my distinct honour to announce the launch of Majestic American Journal of Dentistry (MAJD), a scholarly journal dedicated to scientific contributions supporting progress in dentistry, to bring together scientific and clinical perspectives that contribute to progress in dental science, patient care, and professional practice.

Dentistry has undergone profound transformations over the past two decades. What was once a field defined largely by the mechanical replacement of lost structure has become a discipline grounded in biology, precision and respect for the patient’s own tissues. Technological innovation, digital workflows, three-dimensional imaging and integration of artificial intelligence, together with advances in biomaterials and refinement of clinical techniques have made contemporary dentistry minimally invasive, more predictable, and ultimately more centered on the long-term wellbeing of the patient.

The current volume highlights advancements in the field of dental biomaterials, regeneration of tissues, guided bone regeneration, implant dentistry and preventive restorative dentistry. These contributions will highlight the importance of integrating materials science, biological principles, clinical innovation, and evidence-based practice to advance modern dentistry to contribute to safer, more effective and sustainable approaches to oral healthcare.

Progress of this kind, however, depends on a shared space in which knowledge can be examined, discussed, and disseminated with rigor and honesty, and this is what Majestic American Journal of Dentistry aspires to provide its readers. We aim not only to publish high-quality research, but to cultivate a scholarly culture within dentistry where clinicians, researchers and educators meet and question established assumptions to advance the field together. I invite you to read the pages that follow in that spirit, and I extend my sincere thanks to the authors, reviewers, and editorial team for their hard work that has made this volume possible.
