AJBMSS Unveils a Vision 2030 Special Issue with Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University

Dammam, Saudi Arabia — June 2026. Content Majestic Publisher’s Advance Journal of Business Management & Social Science (AJBMSS, ISSN 2998-7946) has released a special thematic issue produced in collaboration with faculty and students of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU). The featured studies were presented to the campus community at a research exhibition hosted by the College of Business Administration, where the published work was displayed as full-scale infographic standees alongside the authors who produced it.

The thematic issue is unified by a single question with national resonance: how is Saudi Vision 2030 changing the way organisations manage people, quality, leadership and the environment? Across four empirical papers, Vision 2030 is tested not as background context but as a measurable moderating force — the lever that strengthens or reshapes the relationship between organisational practice and performance.

Each study draws on primary survey data from Saudi organisations and applies partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM), giving the issue a consistent methodological backbone while ranging across construction, healthcare, higher education and corporate sustainability. The collection reflects AJBMSS’s editorial aim of pairing rigorous quantitative research with questions that matter to the Kingdom’s policymakers and practitioners.

The exhibition gave the student and faculty authors a platform to present their findings directly to peers, faculty and visitors. Dr. Tahir Iqbal, Editor-in-Chief of AJBMSS and a faculty member at IAU, attended the showcase, joining the Lead Guest Editor, Dr. Faisal Aftab, whose supervision shaped the special issue.

Four studies, one national agenda

  1. Safety-Oriented HR, Climate Practices & Project Leadership in Accident Prevention
Fatimah Mohammed · Eman Abdulraouf Ahmed Ghazwi · Jumanah Omar · Suaad Abdullah Zayed Alyousif

Surveying 400 construction professionals on Saudi infrastructure projects, the study finds that project leadership — more than HR or climate practices alone — drives perceived accident prevention, with Vision 2030 institutional pressure amplifying leadership-led safety mechanisms in megaprojects.

  2. Talent Management & Total Quality Management on Patient-Centred Service Quality
Qasem Faisal Alhajji · Hamad Jamal Alsubait · Eyad Abdulaziz Asiri · Hassan Majed Alyousef

Drawing on 350 nurses across the Saudi healthcare sector, the paper shows that talent management and total quality management both significantly enhance patient-centred service quality — with Vision 2030 healthcare reform strengthening the link between organisational capability and care outcomes.

  3. Teaching Service Quality through Innovation Strategy & Employee Engagement
Batool Alsetri · Baneen Mushayqiri · Sarah Alhulimi · Fatima Aljasim

Examining 350 academic staff in Saudi higher education, the study finds employee engagement positively shapes teaching service quality while innovation strategy alone does not — but Vision 2030 human capital development exerts a strong direct effect and significantly moderates both relationships.

  4. Green HRM & Sustainability Orientation on Carbon-Reduction Performance
Mirza Abdulaziz Abdrubalrsool Al Qussair · Batal Haran Salem Almari · Nawaf Saud A. Aldossary

Among 250 environmental and operations staff in sustainability-focused Saudi firms, Green HRM and sustainability orientation both improve carbon-reduction performance — and perceived Vision 2030 alignment strengthens those effects, supporting the Kingdom’s net-zero-by-2060 ambition.

“This special issue shows what happens when rigorous research is built around a real national agenda. Our authors did not study Vision 2030 from the outside — they measured how it reshapes leadership, quality and sustainability inside Saudi organisations.”

For the contributing students, the exhibition marked the point where coursework became published scholarship. Displaying the work on campus alongside its authors connected the research to the institution that produced it — and to the faculty who guided it from question to publication.

The special issue standees formed part of a broader research showcase hosted by the College of Business Administration at Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University.
