Vision, Mission, Values and Commitments
Content Majestic Publisher (CMP) is an open access publisher of peer-reviewed journals across the sciences, engineering, medicine, business and the social sciences. This page sets out what we are working toward, how we intend to get there, and the principles that guide every editorial and business decision we make.
Our Vision
A research world where trustworthy knowledge is free to read, quick to find and fair to publish, regardless of where a researcher works or what resources they have.
Our Mission
We publish rigorous, peer-reviewed research under open licences and make it discoverable and permanently preserved. In practice, this means we commit to:
Publish Openly: Every article is free to read on publication and released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Authors keep the copyright to their work.
Review Rigorously: Every research manuscript goes through editorial screening and double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts before any decision to publish.
Make Research Findable: We register persistent identifiers, supply complete metadata to indexing and discovery services, and follow the technical standards those services require.
Preserve the Record: Published articles are deposited with long-term digital preservation in Portico so they remain accessible even if circumstances change for the publisher.
Widen Participation: We support early-career researchers and authors from under-resourced institutions and regions, and we keep our charges clear, published in advance and never applied retrospectively.
Serve the Community: We work with editors, reviewers, societies and institutions through webinars, thematic issues and training that strengthen good research and publishing practice.
Our Values
Integrity: We follow the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) where they apply. Publication decisions rest on scholarly merit alone, never on payment, affiliation, nationality or the identity of the author.
Transparency: Our peer review model, editorial workflow, charges, licensing, and ethics policies are published on this website. When we make an error, we correct it openly through formal corrections, editorial notes, expressions of concern, or retractions that remain linked to the original article.
Rigour: Editors are subject experts who make independent decisions. Every manuscript is screened for originality and ethical compliance, and reviewers are chosen for their expertise and freedom from conflicts of interest.
Openness: We believe publicly funded and publicly relevant research should be openly available. We encourage authors to share data, code, and materials and to deposit their work in repositories.
Fairness and Inclusion: We welcome submissions from every country and career stage. We aim for diversity in our editorial boards and reviewer pools, and we treat every author, reviewer, and editor with respect.
Accountability: We take responsibility for the quality and integrity of what we publish. Concerns about any article, editor, or process can be raised with us, and every concern is investigated fairly and in line with COPE guidance.
Responsible Innovation: We use technology, including AI-assisted tools, to make publishing faster and more reliable, but never in ways that compromise confidentiality, authorship, or human editorial judgement.
