Dear Readers,
It is my pleasure to present the first issue of the Majestic American Journal of Oncology (AJONCO). AJONCO is an all-oncology journal founded with a clear and focused purpose: to publish novel, well-researched scientific work that is not only methodologically sound but, more importantly, directly relevant to patient care.
Cancer is a serious problem for individuals, families, and health systems. Meanwhile, the field of oncology is developing at a tremendous pace. Such inventions and other evidence are influencing our diagnosis, risk stratification, treatment, and measurement of disease outcomes. This is an excellent development with its own field challenge. Clinicians and researchers must have research that is easily understandable and reliable. AJONCO would play its part in promoting such trust through quality submissions, transparency, and rigor.
AJONCO plans to serve as a meeting ground for researchers, clinicians, and others involved in cancer care. Hopefully, it will lead to serious discussions, interdisciplinary dialogues, and a space to practice and study oncology. The journal welcomes research that promotes the dissemination of knowledge, as well as research that eases the translation of knowledge into better judgment and better outcomes.
The articles in this first issue set the direction for the journal’s future. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of relevance, methodological strength, and transparency. We warmly welcome and appreciate submissions in rapidly evolving and high-impact areas of oncology, including innovative diagnostics, precision medicine, novel therapeutics, translational research, and emerging technologies.
I appreciate the work of the entire editorial team in launching this journal. There was high attention to detail and the quality with which they adhered to each phase of this publication.
I look forward to your participation as authors, reviewers, and devoted readers of AJONCO. Please send me any suggestions you may have to further improve the quality and visibility.
Sincerely,
Dr. Baojun Duan
